Neuton

Neuton is a free, open-source serif typeface. It was designed by Brian Zick and is available through Google Fonts. Neuton has a large x-height making it legible at smaller sizes, however, it lacks italics so it isn’t really appropriate for setting body copy. Neuton is still under development and there are plans for italic as well as cursive styles being added eventually. Update: There is now an italic style available.
