Populaire

Populaire is an uppercase-only, hand-drawn typeface designed by Ricardo Marcin and Erica Jung. It was published through Brazilian foundry PintassilgoPrints in 2011. The design features four glyphs for each letter—when used in OpenType compatible applications, it creates a random letter effect that mimics real handwriting. The titles from the movie Life of Pi are set using Populaire and if you’ve ever gotten take out from McDonald’s, then you’ve encountered this typeface on their packaging.
