Shift

Shift is a slab serif designed by Los Angeles-based type designer Jeremy Mickel. The typeface was released through his foundry, MCKL, in 2011. The design was inspired by the American slab serifs of the late nineteenth century, with the lighter weights feeling closer to a classic typewriter face and the heavier weights feeling more like a traditional Egyptian slab. Shift is available in six weights with matching italics.
