Clarkson is a bespoke sans-serif typeface used by Squarespace as their main branding font. It was designed by DIA Studio in collaboration with François Rappo of Swiss foundry Optimo. The typeface was created to evoke feelings of Squarespace’s New York City heritage—it was named after Clarkson Street, the location of their headquarters, and drew inspiration from the NYC subway signage system.
