GT Cinetype is a sans-serif typeface designed by Mauro Paolozzi and Rafael Koch. It was released through Swiss foundry Grilli Type in 2015. The design was inspired by an old method of subtitling movies which used a laser to remove the color layer of the film; the laser could only move in a straight line, so there are no curves in the typeface. GT Cinetype is available in three weights with matching italics, as well as a monospaced variant.
