Myriad is a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Robert Slimbach and Carol Twombly in 1992 for Adobe. The design was heavily influenced by Adrian Frutiger’s eponymous typeface, sharing many similar humanist forms. Myriad has become one of the most popular corporate typefaces, used by Walmart, Wells Fargo and most notably, Apple, who have been using Myriad Pro since 2002. As of 2015 it appears that Apple may be phasing out Myriad for their new custom-designed San Francisco typeface.
