Franklin Gothic is a grotesque sans-serif typeface designed by American type designer Morris Fuller Benton in 1902. The font was named after Benjamin Franklin. Franklin Gothic has a classic “newspaper” feel to it, which makes it a great font for editorial usage on the web. It is a noted favorite font of designer Jeffrey Zeldman.
