FS Emeric is a sans-serif typeface designed by Phil Garnham and released through Fontsmith in 2013. Garnham set out to move away from the neutral and anonymous sans-serifs and create something more contemporary and distinctive. I think it’s great to see a type designer attempting to create something more forward-thinking than simply tweaking and revising sans-serifs from the past.
